Fee-based classes can be paid via Venmo, or PayPal, or credit card, email for details.  Sponsored classes require registration with the sponsoring agent.

Yoga for your Dosha – “DoshAsana” – Fee-based, currently on Zoom  Saturday mornings, 9:30 – 10:30, $12/class

Deirdre’s approach to yoga will empower every student to get closer to their life force and appreciate how the mind-body and breath are seeking harmony.

“Yoga is not a pose – it is a condition of awareness and collaboration of all aspects of one’s being.  At its best the condition of yoga is the greatest love affair of a life-time.

Deirdre is a masterful yoga teacher, referring to her classes as the yoga partnership of students learning together what the messages of the mind provoke in the body and what the messages of the body are seeking to awaken in the mind.  All levels of experience are welcome, and while vigorous at times, you’ll be exploring and excavating illusion and cultivating truth in being.

Ayurvedic Wisdom for Spring, Katonah Study Group   – Free – March, 24, 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Learn modern recipes, breath practices, and personal assessment from ancient Ayurvedic wisdom. Gain the knowledge necessary for effective and efficient self-care, a hallmark of Deirdre’s Dosha Coaching process. This workshop is a timely gift, helping us emerge from the dormancy of the past year and embrace the promise of Spring.

Getting your best sleep – Connetquot Library – Free –  March 26, 3 – 4 pm

This hour lecture presents the latest evidence-based self-care practices to nourish sleep. Participants will take away first-hand experience with breath flows, simple pre-sleep yoga, mudras that release tension and soothe the nervous system. Additionally, tips for creating the optimal environment that supports sleep will be covered.

Virtual Mindfulness Meditation –  Pound Ridge Library – free – Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 pm,  Thursday, 6:45 – 7:45 pm 

Mindfulness sessions include breath, movement, and meditation to cultivate tranquility in mind and body.           Deirdre began offering Mindfulness classes in person at Pound Ridge Library in 2015.  In March of 2020, the classes shifted to zoom and offered twice weekly. 

Cultivating Resilience through Mind-Body Practices  Connectquot Library – Free – April 23rd, 3 –  4 pm

This presentation explores the condition and substance of resilience. With the working definition as one’s ability to bounce back from physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual stressors, participants will assess their resilience, chose one domain of resilience and identify a specific practice from those provided to focus their self-care effort.

Taking Better Care our Ourselves – Pound Ridge Library – Free – Fridays, 11 am – 12 pm 

This wellness series is offered in 6-week segments.  Topics covered:  Nutrition, Sleep, Movement, Mind Matters Resilience, Heart Care, and Winter to Spring Wellness.

Spices Sprouts & Self-care: Fee-based Four Sundays, April 11, 18, 25, May 2nd, 3 -4:30 pm, $60

This virtual zoom series introduces the classic self-care practices referred to as Dinacharya in Ayurveda and addresses the cleansing of the sensory gates to purify the body and mind, as well as teaches personal self-assessment of the condition of the elemental forces governing health and well being.  Understanding one’s doshic imprint and current state of expression is critical in knowing how to re-establish balance and avoid disturbing the doshas to protect, preserve and promote health.
